Mr. Jay Burns is a Principal of Arenda Capital Management. He serves as the Director of Acquisitions for Multifamily Investments. Mr. Burns’ responsibilities focus primarily on identifying acquisition opportunities and negotiating transactions.
Prior to joining Arenda Capital Management, Mr. Burns was a Principal at Aslan Realty Group, and prior to that the Senior VP of Acquisitions at Lyon Capital Ventures. During his tenures with Aslan and Lyon, Mr. Burns was responsible for the acquisition and disposition of over $2.5 billion in multi-family assets in various markets throughout the United States. His experience includes 20 years of acquisitions and dispositions in Northern and Southern California and 7 years of sourcing and managing deals in the Southeast. Mr. Burns has acquired more than 10,000 units in Atlanta with an approximate acquisition value of $625,000,000.00, over 3,000 units in Florida valued over $200,000,000, and multifamily assets on the West Coast in excess of $1,000,000,000. Throughout his 25 year career in the real estate industry, Mr. Burns has been involved primarily with the acquisition and disposition of real estate.
To date, Mr. Burns’ transactional volume in all real estate asset classes exceeds $3.5 billion. During one six year period in the 1990′s, Mr. Burns managed a team that provided valuation, marketing, negotiation and closing of over 800 transactions.
Mr. Burns graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
