David C. Green represented the Pritzker Family Business Interests from 1981 to 2001 as a principal managing various real estate development projects throughout California. Completed projects include Lang Ranch, a 2,500 acre, 2,300 home Planned Community in Thousand Oaks, California, Otay Ranch, a 5,200 acre, 9,000 home Planned Community in Chula Vista (San Diego), and the Pasadena Civic Center Redevelopment Project, a landmark 400 unit, mixed-use retail, apartment, parking, historic rehabilitation and light rail station project in the heart of Pasadena’s “Old Town” redevelopment district. From 2001 to 2002 he served as an advisor to the Pritzker family’s development of Golden State Crossroads, a 1,200 acre, 15 million square foot master planned business center in San Joaquin County, California.
In 2002 he formed G&S Realty Investors, LLC, an investment fund to provide equity for development projects. Since 2002, Mr. Green, personally, or G&S have participated in funding the acquisition, re-capitalization and development of industrial and residential projects in California’s central coast.
Prior to working with the Pritzker family, Mr. Green managed, on behalf of its institutional lenders, the bankruptcy reorganization of a New York-based American Stock Exchange listed home building company.
Mr. Green received his B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Columbia University.
In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Green is a former Trustee of the Morristown – Beard School, Morristown, New Jersey, the Thousand Oaks Library Foundation, and the Conejo Future Foundation, Thousand Oaks, California. He served for 15 years as the Ventura County appointee to the State of California’s Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Advisory Committee and is the only real estate developer to serve on the Conservancy.
